What you do in the hours before and after a session has a real influence on how you feel and how your body responds. None of it is complicated — a few simple habits help you get the most out of every treatment.
Before your treatment
Stay hydrated
Drink water regularly the day before and the day of your session. Well-hydrated tissue responds better to sculpting and drainage techniques.
Avoid eating in the two hours before
Many techniques work on the abdomen, and a full stomach makes the treatment less comfortable. A light snack is fine if you need it.
Skip creams and lotions
Come with clean skin, without body lotion or oil. Our therapists use specific products during the session.
Avoid too much sun
Sunburnt or irritated skin is more sensitive to pressure. If you’ve spent a long day at the beach, let us know — we may adapt the treatment or suggest another day.
Tell us about your health
Let your therapist know about any medical condition, medication, recent surgery, pregnancy or areas of pain. It helps us choose the right technique and intensity for you.
Arrive a few minutes early
Arriving relaxed makes a difference. It also gives us time to talk about your goals before starting.
After your treatment
Drink plenty of water
Aim for at least two litres throughout the day. Hydration supports circulation and the work started during the session.
Keep moving — gently
A walk or light activity helps keep circulation flowing. There’s no need for an intense workout on the same day.
Eat light for 24 hours
Avoid alcohol, sugary foods and heavy or very salty meals for the rest of the day. Fresh fruit, vegetables and lean protein are ideal.
Expect to visit the bathroom more
After drainage and sculpting treatments, many people notice they need to urinate more often. It’s a normal response as the body processes retained fluid.
Look after your skin
Redness usually fades within a few hours. If you bruise easily, you might notice light marks that disappear within a few days — let us know so we can adapt the next session.
The habits you keep between sessions matter as much as the sessions themselves.
Quick checklist
- Before: hydrate, eat light, no creams, avoid sunburn, share any health information
- After: two litres of water, a gentle walk, a light meal, no alcohol for 24 hours

Frequently asked questions
Can I exercise after a sculpting treatment?
Light activity such as walking is recommended. It’s best to avoid intense training on the same day.
Can I drink alcohol after my session?
We recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 hours, as it encourages fluid retention and works against the treatment.
Can I have a treatment during my period?
Generally yes, although you may feel more sensitive. Let your therapist know so the intensity can be adapted.
